Our Team

Michael V. Roche

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My approach to therapy is a holistic and systemic approach. I work with individuals, families, and couples from the understanding that we are all impacted both positively and negatively by our families and the environment in which we live. I utilize talk therapy to understand where you are at and help you discover where you want to go. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. Areas I have the most experience working with are: Couples, Sex Therapy, Anxiety and Depression.

Reaching out to someone to discuss your personal life is never an easy feat. In some cultures, individuals are taught to keep their private life to themselves and to figure it out. You may be at a point in your life, where you no longer agree with the advice from family and friends and would benefit from professional counseling. As a marriage and family therapist in training, I am here to help you dispel those cultural beliefs. It is possible to maintain your cultural and personal beliefs while discovering what is best for you as an individual. My interest in counseling families started with the individual counseling work I have done with adolescents over the past fifteen years. Through my work with the adolescent population, I have learned that counseling the family benefits not only the adolescent, but each individual within the family unit.

Let’s work together.

It is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. In our first session we will both be interviewing each other to determine if therapist and client are a good fit. If we are not a good fit, we can try another therapist or provide the necessary referrals.
